Olaf Taranczewski

Olaf Taranczewski

Olaf Taranczewski, Berlin-based composer and accomplished pianist, ranges between jazz, funk and romantic film music. In his first album „Alles wird gut“ (2005), he was able to prove his skills as the band leader of the Taranczewski Trio. Inspired by Bill Evans, Taranczewski composed ethereal piano music and mixed it with groovy sounds from his Fender Rhodes. Since his early years as a musician, Olaf Taranczewski has been featured by his saxophone partner Oliver Fox, the composer Chris Bremus and producer Laurin Biersack.
In 2003, Olaf Taranczewski made his debut as a film composer, his latest projects are the motion pictures ANNE PERRY - INTERIORS (2009), DER ZWISCHENMIETER (2007) and EIN SOMMER LANG (2006). The piano always plays a decisive role in his work—his music delivers insight in his classical art education and the influences by impressionistic composers.
